Wellness

I will fully embrace, implement, safeguard and market the overall Wellness philosophy, concepts and programs such as Sleep With Six Senses, Eat With Six Senses and Grow With Six Senses platforms. All aspects of these wellness initiatives will be adopted and promoted throughout the sales and marketing functions.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. As Director of Revenue & Distribution, I will ensure all directives on environmental protection and preservation, re-usage and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic by 2022, social responsibility and all other practices documented in the Sustainability Guidelines are followed in the department to maintain a harmonious and sensitive approach to our environment and cultural surroundings, plus communicated as appropriate to our external audiences.



Operational Ownership

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Revenue/ Reservations department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

By keeping abreast of industry intelligence, trends and practices and updating knowledge and skills, I will continually focus on revenue generation and profile building for our resort and spa and for Six Senses.

I will be responsible for the setup of PMS & CRS to guide and evaluate the room selling strategies. I will also setup the inventory availability, pricing and daily fluctuations that will be discussed with the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) and coordinated with the reservations team for selling guidelines.

I will develop overall pricing strategies along with the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) and Group Director of Revenue Management to ensure all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the property’s business and growth.

I will have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort including type of rooms available as well as their location and layout, selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans, credit policy of the hotel and reservation coding. Understand the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows. Process advance deposits on reservations. Track future room availabilities based on reservations. I can determine room rates based on the selling tactics of the resort. I will oversee the management of the guest history and profile system in conjunction with the Reservations Manager.

I will decide and implement free allotment releases and close outs for the resorts by category and update this information in all channels to gain maximum effect and maintain a smooth selling process. Review all competitive shops on a regular basis and identify selling strategies and market trends of the competition set. I will countercheck all reservations daily to ensure they are completed with all necessary guest information, profile information and rate/market/source codes.

I will continually focus on reviewing cancellations, adjustments, no-shows as well as groups, blocks and allotments. I will ensure that all set policies, procedures, best practices are in place and rigorously enforced.

I will liaise and develop sales strategies with the Director of Food and Beverage and Spa & Wellness Director to maximize the revenue across all revenue streams ensuring all distribution channels are optimized and correctly loaded. I will also monitor pick-up patterns, lead times, business and market trends.

An important part of the role is to interact with guests and hosts in a professional, courteous and positive manner and proactively seek feedback. I am responsible for an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. In the event of guest complaints, I will effectively carry out service recovery or charge our hosts to do so to the satisfaction of guests.

Interaction and communications between departments under my control and other departments within the resort are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the resort.

Administration

I will ensure daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports are up to date and are completed in accordance with Six Senses standards. Forecasting and reporting requirements for the role will be completed accurately, on time and maintained for reference. Corrective action will be taken immediately when issues are identified, particularly for Quality assessments. Ensure rate and inventory parity on all direct channels and strives for parity across all selling channels.

I will advise room status to all concerned departments using PMS and other available reports. This is to be shared on daily briefings to highlight the areas with special instructions for upcoming guest reservations.

Quality

I will analyze market data and highlight trends for strategic decisions, track and establish pick-up trends, occupancy history and market segment development to facilitate the forecasting process. Act proactively to identify weak periods and opportunities to stimulate business and always seek opportunities to further generate and drive business. I will design and create packages or promotions to meet the direct business demands and according to the resort requirements.

I will ensure all Reservations Sales Agents are conversant in property facilities, rates, packages, promotions and availability status as per IHQ and LQA quality assurance standards. All activities within the department will be carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law. This includes maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of the data or reports available within the reservations department and highlighting them during the event of misuse or inaccuracy.


Financial Performance

In this role, I will instill a revenue-focused philosophy through training and education so that all hosts are fully engaged with driving revenue opportunities. Payroll costs will be minimized by maximizing the productivity and efficient scheduling of hosts. My department’s operational budget will be strictly adhered to and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability, while taking into consideration the preservation of required standards with every decision made. I will lead the annual preparation of the room revenue budget and the annual rate preparations.


People Management

I will always develop and maintain solid business relationship with online partners and electronic distribution channels to ensure higher productivity. Meet and liaise with the online partners to develop excellent business relationships.

As Director of Revenue and Distribution, I am responsible for the management and development of all hosts within the departments through the provision of direction, delegation, interaction, encouragement and enthusiasm, discipline, training, performance evaluation and counselling to build a loyal, productive and effective team. I will ensure our hosts report for duty punctually, wearing the correct attire and deliver friendly, courteous, consistent and efficient service always.

General

In this role, I will behave in a professional manner and set an example to all. I will abide by Six Senses principles, core values, best practices, guidelines and objectives, while respecting other cultures and nationalities and projecting a positive and proactive position to help build and maintain a strong, loyal team.

I will keep to a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.
