The mission of the company is the operation, management and administration of authentic products supplies and catering establishments of all kinds at home and abroad. The planning, design and administration of gastronomy as well as the development of catering concepts for institutions, companies and individuals at home and abroad. Provision of services in the area of event organization, catering and franchising.
To continue this mission, Kangin GmbH is looking for a supply chain specialist in Cambodian products to coordinate our importation project from Cambodia to Swiss market:
Job duties:
- Developing strategy and planning future purchases of Cambodian products based on projected demand from customers.
- Managing client and supplier relationship, and hospitality management strategy to ensure cordial relationship with external stakeholders, control costs, drive service excellence and mitigate risks to gain increased value from vendors and provide best customer service.
- Recommending purchase of new products to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
- Ensuring that products are available at all times by placing orders for new inventory items when needed.
- Evaluating inventory levels for product lines to ensure that the inventory is sufficient for customer demand and Zurich market.
- Communicating with suppliers in Cambodia about items that need to be replenished or discontinued based on customer preferences.
- Monitoring the market for new products that could increase sales of existing products or open up new markets for the company’s products.
- Working closely on daily basis with Sales Team and Director to explore Cambodian products in response to Swiss market demand.
- Training current staff in proper inventory management techniques, Cambodian products exploration such as rice, pepper, local ingredient and spices, local fruits, etc.
What will you need to be successful?
- At least a bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality (hotel and gastronomy), economy and finance.
- At least 3 years of experience in business management, hospitality (hotel and gastronomy), economy and finance sectors.
- In depth-knowledge of Asian products, particularly of Cambodian products (rice, pepper, local ingredients and spices, local exotic beverages, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ingredient production and agriculture processes in South East Asia region, particularly in Cambodia.
- Fluent in English, a good command of German and Khmer are an advantage.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, MS Excel, and SAP are a requirement.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and strong cross-cultural competence.
