Chef sommelier - Disney Cruise Line (H/F)

Job Opportunity: Head Sommelier at Remy/Enchanté on Disney Cruise Line

Location: Aboard Disney Cruise Line, primarily navigating the beautiful waters of the Bahamas and the Caribbean, based in Florida.

We are looking for an experienced Head Sommelier to join the multicultural dining room team.
The restaurant has a capacity of 64 covers and provides brunch and dinner.
All services are one seating only and the guest experience for dinner lasts approximately 3 hours giving the crew time to make this journey exceptional.

The Chef Sommelier is in charge of his wine operations and will also deliver wine tastings on board.

Working on a cruise ship has its challenges, with long hours and time away from home. However, the rewards are substantial. You’ll have the chance to share your knowledge with an international crew and guests and enjoy a tax-free salary due to operations being in international waters. You will also work with a team selected for its high-level skills & gastronomic experience.


Job Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Sommelier, including at least 2 years as Head Sommelier in a gastronomic establishment.

• Strong guest service and leadership skills.

• Wine education preferred.

Conditions

• Contract: 4 months onboard, renewable indefinitely. We are looking for a long-term partnership and this role provides a retirement plan.

• Salary: around $6500 per month (tax-free).

• Off Time: Access to crew and officer amenities such as a gym, bar, library, and pool. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore ports of call, including Disney Cruise Line’s private island, Castaway Cay, featuring a private beach and bar for crew members.

• Travel: your flights will be organised and paid for by Disney Cruise Line.
