SPA RECEPTIONiST AT VALMONT
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
1. Possess a positive, outgoing and naturally curious Personality.
2. Ability to follow the Fairmont Valmont Spa standards of Presentation.
3. Ability to work cohesively with other employees as part of a team.
4. Legal ability to work in Switzerland.
5. Public school graduate.
6. Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in French.
7. Oral proficiency in the English language.
8. Basic computer data entry experience.
9. Ability to work a flexible workweek including weekends and holidays.
DESIRABLE:
1. Reading and writing proficiency in the English language.
2. Fluency in other European languages.
3. Experience in hospitality industry in similar position.
4. Experience in social media.

1. Excellent people skills.
2. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, memos, communication log, safety rules, operating and procedural manuals.
3. Must show ability to write routine correspondence, request reports, and paper work responsibilities.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Greet and direct guests. Make sure the guests feel welcome and secure.
2. Administer to the needs of the guests with skill and proficiency and a pleasant demeanor.
3. Assist the guest with spa reservations, cancellations and changes.
4. Efficiently and elegantly process treatment check-ins to the standard outlined in the training manual:
• The Spa Receptionist will smile and make eye contact with the guest as they enter the Reception area.
• All guests will be greeted as they approach the Reception desk
• The Spa Receptionist will speak in a calm, soft manner to best reflect a spa environment.
• The Spa Receptionist will politely inquire if the guest has a treatment reservation.
• The Spa Receptionist will read all notes in the “comments” section of the guest profile and follow-through appropriately.
• The Spa Receptionist will read the guest’s itinerary to them in order to confirm billing accuracy.
• The Spa Receptionist will print the guest invoice, place it in a standard check cover with a logo pen and present it to the guest.
• The Spa Receptionist will politely ask the guest to approve the invoice by signing in the space provided.
• The Spa Receptionist must pass on the guest’s name, slipper size, treatment and therapist name to the Attendant.
5. Be attentive to all guests, continually serving them to ensure an enjoyable visit.
6. Efficiently and elegantly process treatment check-outs to the standards
• When the guest returns to the Reception Desk the Spa Receptionist will inquire their satisfaction.
• If the guest responds enthusiastically, the Spa Receptionist will offer to book their next treatment.
7. Answer and direct all telephone calls.
8. Handle all billings and payments per procedure manual.
9. Communicate with spa therapists, estheticians and technicians concerning client schedule and special needs.
10. Keep the guest informed, comfortable throughout their stay.
11. Assist the service providers in contacting their guests.
12. Complete all necessary reports for shift opening/closing per procedures.
13. Assist in all areas of the spa, as needed.
14. Maintain a clean, organized work area.
15. Report all guest concerns/complaints.
16. Report maintenance needs immediately to the maintenance department.
17. Share knowledge of all spa treatments, services and programs with clients, and encourage them to receive new and/or additional treatments.
18. Know the details of how each department operates as well as who the managers are.
19. Be aware of appearance, promptness with appointments, quality of work and attitudes with guests.
20. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
21. Wear proper uniform and maintain a high standard in regards to personal appearance.
22. Arrive at your work area at time listed on schedule.
23. Come to work as scheduled.
24. Report accidents immediately Supervisor.
25. Respect guest confidentiality.
