Functional tester

Job:-  Functional Tester- Onsite - Zurich

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing approach planning & communication to stakeholders (Internal Client) & various Technical Teams, contributing to e2e journeys.
• Pragmatic risk-based approach to testing to ensure testing is as impactful and as defensive (in risk terms) as it can be
• Testing subject matter experts creating tests that describe and defend all required behaviours of the e2e journey.
• Execution of the defined e2e tests, in collaboration with the teams contributing to the journeys.
• Bring specific domain skill(s) to the project to enhance testing, specifically in the areas of Wealth Management and Investment Advice.
• Monitor test execution and environment availability across different test environments and proactively initiate issue resolving where tests fail or environments are unavailable.
• Preparation of required test data.

 Required skills:

• Strong understanding of testing methodology across the different software levels (unit tests, integration tests, functional tests, e2e tests).
• Structured approach to defining and executing tests.
• “Can do” mentality and proactivity, including willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capability to prioritize important and time-critical work over other tasks.
• Familiarity with most common software interaction patterns, e.g. xml and REST-based communication, as well as analysis of such, to pre-analyze issues, before handing them over to the responsible team(s).
• Familiarity with most common collaboration tools, like Jira and Confluence.
• Investment Advice know-how is a plus.
• Test automation skills are a plus.
